Air Fryer Sweet Potatoes Three Ways.

Air fryers make sweet potatoes crisp outside and tender inside with very little oil. Our Orange Kalim aw from Bukidnon turns sweet and creamy and works well for cubes, fries, and whole.
Before you start
Pick similar sizes so everything cooks evenly
Wash and scrub well and dry very well
Keep the skin if you like the texture since it adds fiber
Preheat if your model needs it
Cook in a single layer and do not overcrowd the basket
Use just enough oil to coat lightly
Method 1: Crispy cubes
Cut into 2 to 3 centimeter cubes.
Toss with one to two teaspoons oil and a pinch of salt.
Air fry at 200°C for 12 to 15 minutes. Shake the basket once around the halfway mark.
They are done when edges are browned and a fork slides in easily.
Flavor ideas: garlic powder and paprika, rosemary and olive oil, or honey butter with a little sea salt.
Method 2: Fries and wedges
Cut into even fries about one centimeter thick or wedges a bit thicker.
Pat dry, then toss with oil and season.
Air fry at 200°C for 10 to 15 minutes for fries. Wedges may need a few minutes more. Toss once halfway for even browning.
Keep fries in a single layer for best crisp.
Try this blend: salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and a little cornstarch for extra crunch.
Method 3: Whole air fryer sweet potatoes
Pierce the skin a few times with a fork.
Rub with a little oil and salt.
Air fry at about 370°F or 190°C for 35 to 45 minutes depending on size. Turn once.
They are ready when a skewer slides through the center with no resistance.
Serving idea: split open and add butter or olive oil and a sprinkle of muscovado sugar or top with cheese and spring onions.
Meal prep and storage
Fridge life is about three to four days for cooked sweet potatoes in a sealed container
Reheat cubes or fries in the air fryer two to four minutes to bring back the crisp or microwave one to two minutes
